My Digital Footprint

Our TY blog challenge involves blogging about our 'digital footprints'. At first, I had absolutely no idea what a digital footprint was, but then I found out that it is all of one's links with the digital world since before they were even born!
Highlighting my own digital footprint seemed to be difficult at first as I had no idea how I could have a link with the digital world before I was even born. I now realize that my mothers first ultrasound was the beginning of my digital footprint! My digital footprint developed even further as my parents informed family and friends of my arrival through texts, email etc.
Now that I have joined social media sites, I am contributing to my own digital footprint. These social media sites include:
  1. Facebook-  sharing pictures with my friends, liking pictures and statuses etc.
  2. Instagram- sharing pictures, following people etc.
  3. Pinterest- 'pinning' or saving recipes and ideas from other people on my page.
  4. Google- searching things for school etc.
  5. Blogger- making blog posts to share with others.
  6. YouTube- watching videos and listening to music.
  7. Skype- talking to family and friends who are far away.
  8. Snapchat- sending pictures and having conversations with friends.
These are only some ways in which I have contributed to my growing digital footprint.
As I get older, my digital footprint will grown even further as I begin working and joining new social media sites!
I'm sure I have left out plenty of aspects of my digital footprint, but if I were to think of everything that contributes to it, I would probably be here for years!
